Assigning EPREL registration numbers to products and variants
Where to find registration numbers
Option 1: Ask your supplier or manufacturer
This is usually the most reliable option.
Ask your supplier, manufacturer, importer, or authorised representative for the EPREL registration number of each model you sell.
If a product has multiple variants with different energy-related specifications, ask for the EPREL registration number for each specific model or variant.
This helps avoid assigning the wrong registration number to the wrong product.

Option 2: Scan the QR code on the energy label
If you already have the printed or digital EU energy label, this is often the fastest option.
- Open your phone camera or QR scanner.
- Scan the QR code shown on the energy label.
- Open the EPREL page from the QR link.
- Copy the EPREL registration number from the product entry.
Option 3: Search the official EPREL database
You can also search the official EPREL database directly.
- Open the EPREL website.
- Search by model identifier, brand, or supplier name.
- Open the matching product entry.
- Copy the EPREL registration number.
Option 4: Search by GTIN in EPREL
You can also try searching by GTIN on the EPREL website.
However, only a small number of products appear to have GTIN information assigned in the EPREL database, so this method should be treated as a secondary option rather than the main one.
- Open the EPREL website.
- Enter the product GTIN in the search.
- Open the matching product entry if one appears.
- Copy the EPREL registration number.
