Getting started with EPREL Label Suite app

Installing the app

You can install the EU Energy Label app directly from the Shopify App Store. Here’s how:

On the EPREL Label Suite app page click Install
In your Shopify admin, confirm app permissions and click Install again to authorize.
After installation, select your subscription plan.

The app will then be available on the Apps page in your Shopify admin.

Official badge guidelines

The badge guidelines are available on the EPREL public website. Here are the main points:

every covered product has an energy label and a product information sheet
both are shown in close proximity to the product price
if no price is shown, they should be shown close to the product name or product image
the information is shown on every relevant webshop page, including the homepage, list pages, product pages, and basket page
the label and product information sheet are clearly visible and easy to read
the font size of the energy arrow matches the font size of the price
the information is shown whenever the product is displayed, even if the product cannot be added to cart from that page

Localisation

For the product information sheet, users can select from a list of officially supported EPREL languages or choose auto-detect to use the shopper’s browser language. If the browser language is not available, English is used as the fallback. Please note that only the product information sheet is translatable in this way. The energy label itself is an official visual asset and is not localised through this setting.

Setup guidelines

If your theme supports Shopify App Blocks, follow “Adding EPREL Label Suite app block to Product, Categories, Cart pages.”

If your theme does not support App Blocks, follow “Adding EPREL Label Suite embedded app to Categories, Cart pages.”
